20160826_105438[1]Our refrigerators are the storage centres and meeting place of our fresh and not so fresh ingredients, food phases and a hiding place for our wildest indulgences or treats.

 We store our fruits and vegetables, condiments, dressings, dips, nuts, flours (sometimes), pet food, left-overs and more in the central hub of the kitchen, our Fridge!  We wipe our noses and then happily open up the refrigerator door with our hands.  Our ‘fridge’ can also be the place where our worst nightmares can manifest – one of them being MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus).  

Our food cravings and hunger dictates how often we visit our fridges!  It’s more than likely that our humble family refrigerator also harbours a deadly bacteria like Salmonella.  So what can we do to keep our refrigerators safe and clean?
