We all experience times when life seems a struggle.  The way we react to these times depends on our personality and what else is going on in our life.

Although some of us might retreat to bed or seek sympathy, many of us react by berating ourselves for feeling bad – which is not likely to make us feel better!

After The Storm

On our way home through floods

I just thought I would add my perspective on dealing with the after effects of storms, floods, cyclones, fires, grief and loss.  Since I’ve dealt with all of these in some way, I know this for sure, the after shock, will set in soon, and that is when the real help will be needed.  Where will everyone be then?

I observe the tremendous good will, the human power of help with the clean up in Brisbane and surrounds, it blows me away, and I know there are plenty of good people out there to help with the deep emotional toll that will come into play anywhere from 6 – 7 weeks from now, if not already.
